The National Executive Council has reappointed Dr Ken Ngangan to serve second term as the Secretary for the Department of Finance.
Dr Ngangan hails from Kombi Ambum District in Enga Province. He had served as the Finance Secretary for six years since 2013, two years of which in acting capacity.
He signed his four-year contract at the Government House last month.
The Secretary Dr Ngangan is focused on implementing reforms undertaken in the past six years.
He thanked the Government for the confidence that the Government have bestowed on him through his reappointment as the Finance Secretary.
‘’We have undertaken a lot reforms such as Integrated Financial Management System which now position our country in a position to manage public finance transparently,’’ Dr Ngangan said.
Dr Ngangan also thanked the former Finance Minister James Marape for his strong leadership under this ministry.
The Department of Finance is focused and committed to deliver to the people of Papua New Guinea.
