The Young Leaders Network is an initiative to bring together junior staff to encourage and nurture their professional development. The group was formed in 2015 and comprises 12 members. 2016 has been a busy year for the group with many activities.
Activities include:
- Being part of the 2015 Independence celebrations organising committee
- 2015 End of year/Christmas staff event organizing committee
- Fund raising and donation of food stuff to Cheshire Home Charity
- Organizing 2016 DoF Staff Sports Day
- Participation in the Asia Caribbean Pacific Leaders’ (ACP) Summit as Liaison Officers
- Organizing DoF participation in the 2016 Annual TIPNG Walk Against Corruption
- Monthly Sausage sizzles to raise funds for YLN activities.
- Monthly divisional seminar presentations
With the announcement that APEC will be held in Port Moresby in 2018 there is the strong possibility that Department Young Leaders will be called into service again!
