The Young Leaders Network is an initiative to bring together junior staff to encourage and nurture their professional development. The group was formed in 2015 and comprises 12 members. 2016 has been a busy year for the group with many activities.

The PFMA was passed unanimously by Parliament on 11 August. We are expecting certification very soon and staff are working on updating the Financial Management Manual to reflect the improvements. These amendments are a result of the extensive work which resulted in the PEFA Reform Road Map 2015-2018 released in September 2015.

The Papua New Guinea and Australian Departments of Finance signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2014 to work more closely and cooperatively in sharing knowledge and building policy and operational skills.
